Sanabora is a limited company established in 2004 with a goal to contribute to society’s wellbeing through encouraging effective use of design. The company stands out in industry for their astounding range of products that meet both the function and fashion needs of their customers. The products are designed and manufactured at Sanabora with backup production support from a wide network of affiliate artisans spread out across Kenya.

Operating within the realm of ‘Sustainable Design and Manufacturing’ the company brings to their customers a wide range of unique and high quality bags, jewelry pieces, fashion and gift items.

Realization of the products is guided by fair business practices, innovation and maximal value creation for both the customers and producers.

Additionally, Sanabora offers training to its affiliate artisans tailored to harmonize and upscale production and artisanal competencies. Such training has been made possible by the help of partners from government and non-governmental organizations to whom the company is greatly indebted.

With a goal of becoming a benchmark for Sustainable Design in Africa, Sanabora is committed to encourage the use of vast talents and resources available in Kenya for socio-economic and ecological prosperity.

The manager of Sanabora is Beatrice Mwasi. She is a winner of the Chevening Designing tomorrow Award (Kenya) 2002 and a winner of International Federation of Alternative Trade Designer Recognition Award (International) 2001.

Beatrice Mwasi holds a MA Design Leadership, (University of London), 1st Class Honors Degree, and a BA DESIGN, (University of Nairobi) 1st Class Honors Degree. Her main objective is to employ creativity which is at the heart of design, to promote and enable the development of suitable products by entrepreneurs to local and international markets.
