Balkan countries with advantage in textile trade
The Balkan countries are amongst the winners of the silent clothing battle in Europe in 2006. With no exception all countries show positive results in the trade with EU-25. Highest score made Serbia with over 120 % increase and exports value 220.5 millions euro.
Bulgaria with flexible production is the second winner with 15.4% and value of 1.388 billions euro which exceeded the exports for the whole 2005 by 50 millions euro.
Turkey is the next in turn with increase of 11.2 % to reach the value of 10.5 billions euro, followed by Macedonia with 11.1% and exports of 326.7 million euro.
Romania made only 1.6 % increase and Croatia made 0.6%.
