Clothing imports into EU

The European Union imported clothing worth 53 billion in 2005,  eight percent increase compared to 2004. The big winners were China and India.

Eastern European countries like Bulgaria and Romania remained at almost the same level of exports, with knitwear going down, while wovens articles exports to EU-25 increased.
