After a construction period of roughly two years one of the biggest shopping centers in South-Eastern Europe, the Serdika Center in Sofia, opens its doors. The state-of-the-art shopping center has been realized by Sparkassen Immobilien AG, which is listed on the Viennese stock exchange, and ECE Projektmanagement, European market leader with 45 years of experience in the field of inner-city shopping centers. Serdika Center comprises more than 51,000 square meters of leasable space on three levels and about 30,000 square meters of Class A office space, which will be opened for operation by the end of 2010. Around 210 shops of international and Bulgarian brands offer a huge variety of latest fashion trends, international and local cuisine as well as a wide range of services.
The shopping and office center is located on Sitnyakovo Boulevard in the prestigious Oborishte district. Around 1,600 parking spaces provide comfortable access to the mall and the offices. To ensure a swift entry into the car park, the investors improved the road infrastructure by building a new intersection and widening the surrounding streets. Many strong and renown retail brands opened their shops in the Serdika Center: a Peek & Cloppenburg fashion department (the first branch in Bulgaria), a Technopolis market for household and entertainment electronics, a Piccadilly supermarket, fashion stores of Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Mango, Reserved, Esprit, New Yorker, Marc O’Polo, shoes brands such as Ecco, Humanic, Geox, Deichmann, Camper; sports shops of Puma, Adidas, Tempo Sport and many more international brands like Douglas, Swarovski, Bijou Brigitte and Guess Accessories. Just recently a leasing contract has been closed with I-Style, which offers Apple’s trendy computer and mobile phones.
